A few years back, around the time that the tattoo reality shows hit the television, I remember hearing talk of a young, female tattooer in Vegas named Serene that was also a very gifted artist. Having been in this industry for some years, and having witnessed the never ending flow of less than able people trying to be tattooers (which has multiplied tenfold since tattooing hit the small screen), I tend to be a bit jaded and dismissed this talk as mere tattoo shop banter. So, when she stopped by our shop to visit a friend of hers who was working there at the time, our first meeting was cordial and consisted of a basic “hello” and “nice to meet you.” I didn’t really take much notice since I meet new tattooers all the time
